2017 is coming to an end, which means that the 2017 Oregon Tax Credits will soon be coming to an end as well.  You can’t beat getting money back on a great HVAC system, and getting one that will save you on energy every month.

Now Is The Time To Act

With the holidays approaching, saving any bit helps.  I don’t know about you, but I find that every time I set a budget for holiday spending, I end up going over.  It is the giving season after all.  I enjoy seeing the smiling faces of friends and family when they open a gift from me.  Then comes those credit card bills right after the holidays.  Sticker shock hits, and I see ramen and macaroni  in my dinners to come.

We all want to try and save a few dollars when we can.  One could almost argue that one of the best gifts you can give someone is the gift of heat.  This may exclude the few who are wanting the new phone or game system coming out.  They may rather bundle up in an extra layer of clothing and blanket, but those gifts won’t give you any money back.

If you are one of those that has read the Mr. Comfort blogs,  or any other Portland, OR HVAC blog (I know, it’s one of your top 10 favorites) then you know that now is the time to replace that furnace or heat pump before the cold weather hits.

With the Carrier Cool Cash Promotion going on, you can add savings on top of savings.  The rebate is instant, so you do not have to wait for money to come back.  That is more money in your pocket now.

Give Comfort Solutions Heating and Cooling a call, and let us see what we can do for you.

We are half way thru the year and just getting into the air conditioning season.  The last thing you are probably thinking about is heat, or at least heating your home.  A lot of us don’t worry about our gas furnace or heat pump until the cold weather hits, which is understandable, except if you wait too long this year, you may miss out on some extra savings.  The Oregon State Tax Credits are scheduled to be gone after December 31, 2017.

According to the Oregon Department of Energy:

“The RETC program is scheduled to sunset on December 31, 2017. RETC devices must be purchased by December 31, 2017, operational by April 1, 2018, and applications must be received by ODOE no later than June 1, 2018.”

What Does This Mean To You?

If you are thinking about purchasing a high efficient furnace or heat pump you may want to start budgeting now.  You definitely don’t want to wait till the last minute.  Once the cold whether hits, Portland area HVAC companies will be booking up fairly quickly for installs.  It is never a good idea to wait to get your heating system replaced.

When it comes to sending in your forms for the tax credit, make sure that your forms are filled out correctly as well to avoid any potential delays. Some companies are exceptional when it comes to filling out the paperwork for you.  Others will just supply the forms for you to fill out.

The savings involved from installing a high efficient furnace or heat pump could save you hundreds of dollars, so don’t wait.  Contact us and we will provide you a quote and how much you could save.

Summer is right around the corner, which means many of you are looking at ways to get cooling into your home.  Air conditioner’s are a good option, but it’s not the only option.  Instead, see if heat pump, or ductless heat pump will work for you. The good news is if you have been waiting for a reason to find a good time to get some cooling into your home, Portland General Electric has a promotion that could save YOU some money.  This promotion starts May 1, 2017 and goes thru June 30, 2017.
